You’ll find links to resources such as NIH, MyPlate, AARP, the Alzheimer’s Association, and other health, wellness, and aging support services.
  • Administration for Community Living (ACL) - Part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, works to improve the quality of life for older adults and people with disabilities. The ACL provides a variety of programs aimed at enhancing the independence and integration of older adults into their communities. They offer information on long-term care services, elder rights protection and advocacy, and community programs for older adults. 
  • The Alzheimer’s Association - Provides support to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. It offers resources on understanding the disease, caregiving, and finding local support services. Find caregiving tips and support groups, information about Alzheimer’s and dementia, local chapters providing educational programs and resources. 
  • AARP - (American Association of Retired Persons) - One of the most well-known organizations for older adults, with over 38 million members across the U.S. It advocates for issues that affect seniors, such as healthcare, financial security, and retirement planning. AARP offers a wide range of services including insurance, discounts, and educational resources. They provide retirement and financial planning tools, health and wellness resources, and advocacy for senior rights. 
  • Eldercare Locator - A public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging. It connects older adults and caregivers with local services, including housing, financial assistance, and healthcare options. It’s a great starting point for seniors looking for resources in their area. You can find local aging services, long-term care resources, and information on health and wellness services.
  • ​Meals on Wheels America - Provides nutritious meals to seniors, often with the added benefit of a daily social connection. The organization operates across the U.S. through local community programs. Helpful programs are the home-delivered meal services for seniors,  nutrition programs, and volunteer opportunities to deliver meals
  • MyPlate - The "Eat Healthy on a Budget" page from MyPlate provides practical advice for making nutritious food choices while staying within your financial limits. It offers strategies like planning meals, shopping smart, and preparing simple, healthy dishes. They provide a locator tool for finding adult day services near you, information about the benefits of adult day care programs, and advocacy for adult day services across the U.S.
  • National Council on Aging (NCOA) - The NCOA is a nonprofit organization focused on improving the lives of older adults, particularly those facing economic challenges. They offer a variety of tools and resources for managing finances, accessing healthcare, and advocating for policy changes that benefit seniors.   • The National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP) - Administered by the Administration for Community Living, provides resources and financial support for family caregivers who assist aging relatives or loved ones. They also provide information on financial assistance for caregivers, respite services to allow caregivers time for themselves, and information on managing caregiving tasks.
  • National Institute on Aging (NIA) - The NIA is a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that conducts research on aging and age-related diseases. It offers a wealth of information on maintaining health, preventing diseases, and living a healthy life as you age. Through this resource, you can find aging research and clinical trials, health advice on conditions like Alzheimer’s and arthritis, and tips for healthy aging and cognitive health.  ​
  • Senior Corps - Senior Corps, part of the Corporation for National and Community Service, engages older adults in volunteer opportunities. Through programs like RSVP, Foster Grandparents, and Senior Companion, Senior Corps offers older adults a chance to contribute their time and skills to the community.
