Tips for a Healthier You this Holiday season!

Be creative. It's good for you and for others. Gifts tailored for specific loved ones are the best!

Be positive. Choose to be and lessen anxieties for yourself and others. Exercise builds self-esteem and makes it easier to stay positive.

Connect with loved ones. The benefits may lead to longer, healthier lives for all of you.

Exercise. Dance. Bike. Take walks. Getting even short spurts of exercise can increase memory and attention, and burn calories! Plus sunlight offers many benefits.  Getting adequate exercise may lead to a need for less medication.

Indulge mindfully. Enjoy but consider possible healthy trade-offs such as reducing calories by choosing healthy snacks or a lower calorie meal in exchange for the splurge.

Meditate. Twenty minutes of focused breathing can do wonders!

Nurture your spiritual side.  It may help you cope with life stressors, lower blood pressure, and you may even feel less pain.

Sleep.  Your body needs it for healing and growth. Not getting enough may lead to illness.

Stay hydrated. Be careful with caffeine and alcohol. Make sure to drink enough water!

Volunteer. The activity and social aspects are good for you and others.

Happy Holidays!
