I also want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the University of Indianapolis for shining a light on the importance of creative engagement and lifelong learning in reducing loneliness, easing social isolation, and fostering meaningful connections. These conversations matter because being alone is not the same as feeling lonely. Solitude can be a positive and restorative choice, while loneliness is the emotional experience of lacking meaningful connection. One of the themes we discuss in the interview is the role technology can play in bringing people together. When used intentionally, technology becomes more than a way to communicate, it becomes a bridge to shared experiences. Whether through music, reminiscence, games, lifelong learning, virtual museum tours, or meaningful conversations, technology has the power to strengthen relationships and create lasting memories. I was also grateful for the opportunity to share how Celebrativity supports meaningful engagement through activities that encourage conversation, creativity, lifelong learning, and social connection. Every quiz, printable, virtual resource, and activity is created with the hope of helping people spend quality time together while bringing joy, purpose, and meaningful moments into everyday life.
If you'd like to learn more about these topics, I invite you to read the full interview: Ask the Expert with Laura Haw https://uindy.edu/cac/news/2026/07/ask-the-expert-with-laura-haw I'm also grateful that the University of Indianapolis shared the interview on LinkedIn, helping bring these important conversations about loneliness, social connection, and healthy aging to an even broader audience. Every opportunity to raise awareness helps reinforce the value of meaningful engagement at every stage of life. Thank you again to Georgene Nitzsche and the University of Indianapolis for this wonderful opportunity and for helping raise awareness of the importance of meaningful engagement, lifelong learning, and healthy aging. I am deeply honored to be featured and grateful to everyone who has supported both my work and the mission of Celebrativity. Together, we can continue creating opportunities that inspire memories, lift spirits, and strengthen the connections that enrich our lives.
